Beach Surfing in Nicaragua

Best Beach Surfing Waves in Nicaragua

Surely, for the traveler in Nicaragua, the traveler passionate about surfing opportunities, names like Gigante, Majagual, Playa Rosada, Popoyo, or Remanso are very familiar and awake pleasant memories.

The Southern Pacific coast of Nicaragua is a location surfers are just crazy about, since it provides good surfing conditions and waves they can enjoy for themselves, since promotion is not yet as keen as to make people rush in and intrude in the surfers' pleasure of having the waves just for themselves.

Beginner, moderate and professional surfers are all offered assistance in their expeditions towards the beaches where they can take their surfboards and embark on the greatest surfing experience of their life.

South of Morgan's Rock (a resort on Playa Ocotal, at a three hour's drive South from Managua, or about half an hour - still driving - from San Juan del Sur), the best known surfing beach seems to be Majagual.

The beach looks as if deserted, however there is a place named Camping Matilda, where the traveler is offered the necessary services of elementary lodging - as the name suggests it, the place is a camping site, basically renting tents. Surfing is good, the waves are generally medium and large, and the view is spectacular.
